Using Zaino Outside

Is it possible? I don't have access to a garage unless I take the 2 hour trip home for the weekend. Is it possible to Zaino outside on a clear day and be able to get a couple coats in safely on the same day?

It is perfectly fine to put coats of Zaino on, but when you're doing the preparation (Dawn and Clay bar) it isn't good to be out in the sun. If you have a shaded area, you'd be fine. The only stuff you don't want to dry on your car in the sun is the clay bar and the finishing spray.

mmm, always wash your car in shade.... but you may want your first coat of Z2 over Z1 a few hours (longer the better, that waht they said...) after the first coat, you don't need to wait..... i recall at least 24 hours between coat , ???

I began washing my car outside in preperation for Zaino and then quickly relaized it was dusting up very quickly. This could have been because of the color of the car (Dark Blue) or the fact that there's contruction down the street and the trucks were kicking up dust. Probly a bit of both. Fact is your car will dust up after a wash and applying Zaino over dust is'nt a really good idea. I now only wash my car in the garage and apply Zaino with the garage door closed.

Try if you can IMO to wash and apply the Zaino in a garage, freinds, neighbours, relative ?? If not make sure you have a duster on hand to remove the dust after the wash before applying the Zaino.

yes... in essense while you wait for zaino to dry, dust will accumulate. but you're supposed to spray a coat of z6 after you take off the dried z2/z5, then apply another coat of z2/z5. so that in between spray of z6 is supposed to take the dust that has accumulated off during dry time.

you can put on as many layers of polish in the sun... the only thing that is not recommended is to actually wash your car and clay your car in the sun. reason being that the sun will quickly dry the water onto your car (water spots). but if you can't get around it... wash a quarter of your car at a time and spray water on to keep it wet.

one thing to watch out for - besides contaminents landing on the car before you wipe the zaino (or anything) off the car is . .

dark cars heat up really fast - and get so hot that applying even a polymer like zaino that can take over 400F - it may dry and haze unevenly due to surface temps not allowing the product to spread properly -

a black car in a 95F sun can reach almost 200F . . .
