Using a liquid wax
Using a liquid wax
Any thoughts on if it is better to apply a liquid wax with a foam applicator etc or just spraying on vehicle and buffing? the pinnacle liquid wax states to use an applicator but i frequently spray on products like detail sprays and buff- a lot quicker and easier but don't know if quite as good to do this.
I use Meguiar's Gold Class wax in liquid form. I think it also comes in a paste. Anyway, my wax "applicator" is kind of strange, but it works well. I use thick cotton tube socks on my hands.
Squirt the wax into one palm and rub it on the car. They are nice and soft and you can get into all the various corners and stuff. For buffing I either use a fresh pair of socks or some terry towels.

Not sure what you mean. I've never seen a wax that could be sprayed on. The liquid wax I've used is pretty viscous and needs to be spread around. You let it dry for a while then buff it. I'm just saying I use the socks instead of the little foam applicator thingy. One advantage is you can't drop the socks. The little foam thingies, you drop them and they'll pick up a lot of dirt which will have to be picked off so it doesn't scratch the paint.
I've seen "detail spray", but never used it, so I can't comment on how it compares.

detail sprays are all sprayed on as the name implies. didn't realize the liquid waxes are that much thicker- some are made in sprays but others seems like it would be best to use an applicator if they are that viscous.
