Trying to remove paintball paint...any suggestions?
Long story short, my car has paintball paint over one side of it. I was out of town for the weekend, so the paint formed a sticky residue on the car by virtue of having sat on the car for a few days.
I ran it through a carwash (first time in 4 years), hoping that the hot water and pressure would get it off - no luck. All it did, was spread the oil based base all over the roof and side of the vehicle.
Washed it myself with Meguier's Gold Class and a microfiber sponge - some major elbow grease seemed to help, but I still wasn't happy with the results, and I was worried about scratching the surface with all the pressure.
As a last resort, I used dishwashing detergent and had more success. I still have some spots around the car will the oil based residue, especially the roof.
At this point, I want to completely get rid of the residue, so that I can wash the car once more and then wax it from top to bottom. Any suggestions? I'm thinking Simply Green or WD-40 might be the ticket.

I know it's old, but I just had this happen to me (on highway). Acetone took it off (nothing else worked). I know it is scary to use acetone on your paint, but if you use just enough to remove the offending paintball paint and then wash with water and wax after you are good.
