Is this car wash brushless or touchless? I haven't seen a touchless car wash in NYC yet.

They're a hand wash. They have a couple of guys that wash the car for you by hand using sheep skin mitts. Then it goes through a rinse and dry. It's the only place I know of in the area that does this.

Most decent car washes will have a plastic liner along the rail to prevent scratching your rims...just be sure to ask about it before you pay for it and are half way through the wash before you realize they don't.

Was your car at stock height????

I live right by that place, and used it before my H&Rs, but now I'm nervous about clearance.

lothian110: Are both of those places touchless? Which one do you recommend. My TSX is filthy.

I went to these guys exclusively when I lived in Queens. They do a great job.
I just had my TL washed & waxed here for $45. It was a surprisingly good experience. I had a bad waxing experience with another place in Queens, a few months ago.
Although I have a stock TL, I went in a little worried about the usual rail, but the owner put me at ease. He explained that their track was thoroughly covered and I needn't worry. As stated, above, they wash the car by hand.

The guy that waxed my car, Leoberto, was excellent. He paid a lot of attention to detail! He used a small, soft (paint) brush to get the wax out of the tight spots. He spent a lot of time on my car and I gave him a very decent tip. Tough job.

I am not sure if I got very lucky, or the fact that it's a Monday, helped a lot.
I got there very early (9:30am) and I told the owner I was in no rush, I just wanted this done right. I was there for about 2 hours, but well worth it.
I will probably bring my old Accord here for a Clay bar ($100) and ask for the same guy.
Ajeetm, thanks for the recommendation....

I go to imperial whenever I'm too lazy to do it myself. Its between metropolitan and yellowstone blvd. I work about 6 blocks away so it is convient for me. Its 7 bux(after taxes) for an exterior only. The only thing I don't like is the sting from the mitts that get caught on the emblems /doors. They also do some auto detailing and tinting at this location. I can take some pictures while im there next time ^^.
