A semi-annual client of mine, this one got away from me for too long (pushing a year). NBP is hard enough to keep pristine, and this one lives in the middle of Hollywood, literally feet from the Walk of fame on Hollywood Blvd. It was really in worse shape then I had anticipated, so out with the NRWS, 1 Gal spritzer, clay, UDM, Optimum Compound w/ orange CCS 5.5, Optimum Polish w/orange 5.5 CCS, and a mix of UPP and Wet Glaze.
Wheels cleaned with Optimum Wheel Cleaner, Power Brush, and Whiteknight Powerstick, dressed with Surf City Tire Black.
A word on the CCS Low Profile 5.5" pads. I dont like them. Not only did I find the Low Profile CCS collapsed at too low of a profile, I didnt find the CCS contributed to any significant value. If you dont have CCS, dont bother with the marketing hype. I also, in theory, believe polishes need to break down with equal volumne. In other words, how are you to break down abrasives while releasing new product on a panel?
Same with the low profile design, you need some cushion when polishing, and why take a chance with a pad designed at one inch, when another 25% thickness is available that provides additional margins of safety?

Wow, looks awesome!
So, after you went over it with Optimum Compound on the Orange pad, you then went over it with Optimum Polish on another Orange Pad. Then, you went straight to the FS UPP? I'm just wondering because I'd like to use this process when I tackle the swirls on my Dad's car we talked about last week (I'm gonna have to order another oranage pad from you, i only have one right now) - see good thing I waited to order still.

Nice job ... After seeing the tires I just placed and order for the Surf City tire Black. It will be a couple of months before I can eve use it lol.
Wish I needed more stuff .. shipping on one item kind of hurts.

The Orange Erasure is extremely versatile. It can be used for medium duty cutting, as well as light polishing. I use it for nearly all (95%) details, and it supports just about every product I have used.
*I actually induced a little Wet Glaze into the UPP, about 3pts UPP, 1 pt WG. That WG is like butter. Its every bit as easy to remove (if not easier, in conjunction with the UPP, imagine that).
Ya know this WG is becoming my second most recommended product, and Im very happy to have tried it.....
Jess, we can wait on your order if you want. Theres no hurry if you cant use it right? Your call............
This Saturday will be a good photo opp for the above products as Im detailing a X3 Friday, and a fairly "disturbed" black Maxima on Saturday.
Im not making a lot on this one (neighbor/friend, who had a little run in, in the canyons) so it will be a good opp to show some tricks and tips......

Hello,
Nice work, but I have to ask you, why dont you just cut and buff and then wax these cars?
I mean, it takes me 6 hours to do my Explorer, and it seems easier then what you go through, am I crazy? I use Diamond cut, #9 and #26 wax, looks awesome and is good for a year.
