Todays Detail...F-150 King Ranch, VW Toureg, 330i

Busy day today! The King Ranch was brand new, only real problems were the infestation of bugs it acquired while in transit from Houston to Southern Calif. Beautiful truck with some very impressive leather for a domestic T R U C K. "Coppermetalflake" I believe was the colors name, only available on the KR model. The paint has less OP then the Bimmer! Nice work Ford!
The truck was pretty clean from the get go, and with last nights rain, all it needed was a Freedom One wipedown, and then I hit it with the UDM, a blue LC flat 5.5" with DG 105. I would have gone right to UPP if I felt it didnt need a little cleaning power. Proved right on as it really brightened up well. The owner commented on the flake afterwards. Just the right amount of flake also, not overwhelming as some metalflakes can be......

Next up, the Toureg. I last saw this in March, and it was surprisingly very well kept since then. Went right to Surf City Nano Seal, UDM, Grey LC flat 5.5". Interior leather complimented with DG leather conditioner. (no pics of this beautiful leather though)

Next up, the 07 330i. Man I love this color!. Last March was its last treatment, still in great shape for a DD. Used the UDM and blue LC 5.5 with a mix of 105/UPP. Reason being I was getting some dusting with the 105 on the King Ranch, so I wanted to oil it up a little bit, worked like a champ, and really felt slick, and looked bright when it was completed. I even clayed the PPG on the hood which was a first attempt for me, and it made a siginificant difference with the sealant on the hood .....Tires got Surf City Beyond Black Tire Pro....Interior treated with DG Leather Treatment
I actually borrowed the clients digicam for all the shots as I had forgotten mine, they were kind enough to have emailed me them promptly for this showing.

And heres a days compilation of work. A little under 6 hours for all three........

No rain in Northridge. And I mispoke, its a 335 (I think thats the second time I have done that with this car)
Thank goodness the cars were all in good shape. No real polishing was needed, thats why I opted for the DG 105. Both Germans were done (polished/sealed) about 7 months ago and kept in pretty good shape all the while. The paint on that Toureg is the best paint I have even come across! It feels thick and velvety, and for some reason, its hold protection real well. The Bimmer paint? Well, its among one of the worst I have seen, although a beautiful color, its has an abnormal amount of Orange Peel which is nearly distracting. It also has PPF on the hood, which doesnt help for reflection or depth, but the PPF has pad for itself with this car as its on the frwy 118/210/5 daily. It has one very small ding in the center of the hood which would have been a very noticeable chip had it not been for the PPF. Speaking of PPF, this was the first time I had tried claying PPF before. I usually just wash it up real good and apply some 303 or ProtectAll Do It All....andcall it done, but I really love that Bimmer when its puuuuuuurdy'd up.....Came out (PPF) stunning with clay and DG105/UPP!
