Tire Gel

I did a search and didn't find much on tire gel. I just bought the Meg's Tire Gel and was wondering how this product is? I use other Meg products and love them. How does the tire look? Glossy? Semi-gloss? Matte? How does it hold up? Does it last a long time?

It doesn't come with an applicator. How is it applied?

Thanks

I've been using PB Bold n Bright - gives it a matte finish. Might possibly give One Grand ERV a shot. You can use a tire dressing applicator like the one pictured and available at your locat auto parts store.

I'd say it's more of a semi-gloss...it doesn't give that EXTREME shine, but it holds a long time, well over 10 days without rain. It does not come with an applicator, I just bought a $1.00 application pad the same time I bought the gel and that is working just fine.

I'm almost out and will be buying it again. I'm very satisfied.

The foam applicators seem to work well. A trick that I picked up recently for use with the gel is to "prime" the applicator with a water-based dressing or similar like Bold & bright and then put the gel on. It does not affect longevity and it goes on super smooth.

Thanks for the tips. I'll also make sure the tires are good and clean before applying.
