Tire Black preference

Guys,

What tire black treatment do you use on your tires? I've had good luck with Meguires' tire product. I like my tires to have a long lasting wet look. What are some success stories and/or products you've used that you like?

Thanks in advance !!

One of the best tire blings I have used is made by Four Star. Its their Ult Tire Gel. Non slinging, even better results after repeated use. Can be left on for an amazing gloss or allowed to penetrate, then wiped off more matted loo. Another new product im very excited to try and carry will be Optimums Opti-Bond Tire gel! Arrives today!

Guys,

Thanks to both of you for responding. I was using Meguiar's, but was having trouble with the sprayer on the bottle breaking! I had to replace it 6 or 7 times. I tried some other stuff, but didn't like it and went back to the Meguiars.

I have a couple of questions....

1) If have been spraying the Meguiar's right on the tire and either wiping it down and or letting it dry. It sounds like that isn't a good idea...can you elaborate?

2) Please let me know how the Optimums Opti-Bond Tire Gel is.

I'm anxious to find something that consistently works well.

its just been my experience that if i try to spray it onto the tire it goes everywhere...so i spray it onto a sponge and wipe it onto the tire so as to avoid overspray...

I've been using Meg's too. From tips on here, I've stopped using so much. Looks better, last just as long and doesn't sling.

I've been using the gel, not the spray. I put it on with an old MF and then kind of rub it in some, so it gets between the letters and grooves and what not.

I am using the Hot Shine too... I have been applying it using a throwaway sponge paint brush... works great, then I just throw it away after about 2 weeks...got those at walmart for a buck or two...

I use any of the water based ( milky white ) dressings .. but once every 6 weeks or so I clean the tires really well with Wesleys Bleech Wite to ge them very clean & black first ..

Dressings are applied with the disposable yellow/green kitchen sponges that are 12/$1.

I use AA Tire Gel but am looking for something a little better when its gone. The AA leaves a shine I like, is pretty cheap and I can get it OTC.

I tried out SC Beyond Black Tire Pro and I was really happy with it - it's more of a matte look. I used Megs gel for the longest time, it lasts for weeks but it's very shiny. Two completely different products.

Megs gel for me. I like the look and the durability. I haven't noticed any slinging either. A plus is that it smells good when you apply it.

I've been using Armor All Tire Foam with good results. I spray it on and let it sit and penetrate for a while (15-30min?) before driving. It keeps the tires looking good. Once dry it has a matte finish which I like, not the wet look that some are after.

I think the one I was using was Black Magic brand, I normally spray it directly on the tire and then I let it sit and dry itself rather then driving right away. I would love to try something else though. Anyone know where you can buy a big quantity (really big bottle or something) cause I tend to overuse tire shine for no apparent reason.

I have been using Turtle Wax Wet n' Black because it was on a 2 for 1 special, but now I know why it was on special. I was just trying to save money but I feel like I have wasted it on a poor product. It makes washing my car pointless if I use it because it just flies off onto the car, even if I do the tires first.
