Things that make you go "Ewww!"

One of my regular customers recently totaled her '98 Audi A4 Avant (you can find pictures of it in my previous write-ups) and was loaned a '94 Jeep Grand Cherokee by a friend while she sought a replacement car. Long story short, she wound up buying another A4 Avant (this one an '08 model) and wanted the Jeep cleaned up as a courtesy to her friend.

I didn't take any pictures of the rest of the car because it was just a wash job and honestly, I didn't expect it to clean up half as well as it did but this right here was the main focus of my attention. While it was a '94, the car only has 78,000 miles on it but has clearly been beaten on it's whole life. Coffee stains were on almost every carpeted surface, the cupholders were coated in a nice film of spilled drink and a combination of dog and human hair and the windows were filthy. The outside was nasty, too.

Repeat...I did NOT take any other pictures of the car but this lovely little before-and-after on the driver's door panel should give you an idea.

17 years of grit, grime and abuse...

After a very thorough cleaning....

My friend had an Oreo McFlurry spill it his cupholder a few months ago, which mixed with the Halls that had fallen out of the packet and stuck to the cuholder years ago. That was horrible getting off

Cupholders in general make me go eew. Before and after from a 2009 Honda Civic that I detailed. She'd only had the car for a year and managed to make it look like this.

I could show MANY other pictures from that car that would make you wanna gag.

I drink soda all the time in my car. It's other people I worry about. Don't think I could make a cupholder look like that if I tried.

Thanks, guys. As you can tell from the lower portion of the trim panel, the top color coat had been rubbed off which isn't surprising given the plastics in this particular vehicle were the cheapest I've ever seen. I remember the days when the having a Grand Cherokee meant you had the 'it' car...at least around here it was.

Driving it brought back a lot of memories as a friend's mom in elementary school had a '93 GC Limited in blue.

I generally don't trust people around my car, period.
