Tar and grease removal

Whats the best product to use to remove tar and grease from the car? My neighbor told me to use thinner. Im like doesn't that ruin the clear coat of the car? Thanks...

No don't use thinner. There are many bug and tar removers out there made just for the job. But here is one that works and won't wreck the paint. WD-40 Just spray it on, let it sit a minute or two. Then wash and wax the area.

I've been using a couple of products to get crap off...first, try using a wax with some cleaner compounds in it like Meguiar's Wax & Cleaner or Nu Finish, if that doesn't work, try Turtle Wax Bug & Tar Remover. I would use the Bug & Tar on specific areas only and the Wax & Cleaner on the whole car. I hope this helps.
