SWIFFER DUSTER is the greatest cleaning accessory in the world!

Thought i'd share that.. I just tried dusting the dash (lightly) and it works like magic! Unlike any other dusters, it just traps the dust in the duster! IT IS AWESOME!

Just be careful it doesn't leave a residue on the dash that might cause issues later.

I've used the same mini California Car duster for interiors for like 10 years now. It's another great option.

Oh, and NEVER EVER dust your gauge cluster. Use a special plastic cleaner on it or it will leave fine scratches. Clear plastic is so easily scratched it rediculous. I used to work in a picture framing shop, and whenever we used acrylic glass for frames, we were required to ONLY clean it with this stuff called Brillianize. Ever since then, this is the ONLY thing I use to clean clear plastic (glasses, car stuff, TV screens, etc..). It's not really a polish in the sense that it has abrasives, it just leaves a really long lived protective film on the clean surface that buffs to a high gloss. I think it comes with micro-fiber cloths too:

Are you talking about the dash or the gauge cluster?

I keep one in the glove box. Ebony interior shows dust like a mofo and navi seems to attract it as well. I agree it's great for a quick clean-up while stuck in traffic.

i use california duster on my car for the exterior.

they also sell small dash dusters also like someone above me posted. the cali duster for the exterior works AMAZING, so i would only imagine the dash duster is the same.

should definitely consider it, autozone less than $10

In picture framing we absolutely could not could not wipe dry dust off clear acrylic, even with microfibre. The sharp grains of dust will still scratch it. The Brillianize would act as a lubricant and keep the dust from cutting into the plastic.

I don't know what cheap Microfiber cloth you are using, but a microfiber cloth on any framing shouldn't scratch it unless you're putting way to much pressure.

I use 303 as protectant, and yeah it does repel dust. However, sometimes I roll my windows down, and of the inevitable dust is coming in. LOL
