Spot Free rinse system

I hand wash my car almost once a week but sometimes up to 2 weeks but it takes so damn long probably 1hr - 1 1/2 Hr to completely wash and dry. I would like to speed the process up a bit so I am looking for a spot free rinse system to add to my hose for the final rinse so maybe every other wash I can avoid a complete towel dry. Does anyone have a system they use that they would recommend?

Searched a bit and found this looks like it has potential

Have you considered Optimum No Rinse Wash & Shine?
You can theoretically wash a panel at a time.
Heres a video and slide presentation as well.....

Only 1-1.5 hours? Geez, it takes me 3 hours for a complete wash. NRWS takes me about 2 hours.

after your done washing the car take the nozzle off the hose and use the sheeting method, that should get rid of alot of the water and help make the towel part alot quicker.

NRWS is great great stuff, I was skeptical at first too, but once I finally broke down and used it the stuff is awesome.

I do the sheeting but that on top of opening all the doors, trunk and hood to dry all these areas time adds up. Plus by the time im done my rims have water spots on them or vice versa if I start with them. I wash in a covered area but when its 85-90 deg out the water dries fast! It would be nice to have that last water rinse to be spot free it would help out a lot!

The problem I see is it doesn't completely blow the car dry. It leave minsquel water drops which dry before I can finish drying with a MF. Thus tiny water spots. I am also finding it is dislodging dust/grit and I am scratching my wheel lips which I have not experienced in 5 years.
To get them off I have to use a dampened WW or QD. So I have basically used it for cars I am detailing and will be polished out and the windows cleaned.

This is true. But, I get around that because I always QD my car after a wash.

Well to me now .. thats an added step to something thats supposed to be a time saver.

When I am doing a detail it is a short cut because it does help dry and eliminated the compressor/air gun step for around trim etc.

Yours is also WDP, NBP is a lot more time consuming than WDP, it shows even the littlest in-perfections

Dale,

I'd love to see a video on this. I would like to know how I can cut my wash time in half.

sheeting method works great if you have wax on car, tried it today with just sealant and it doesnt do anywhere near the good of job.

tried it with 2 identical black STIs, one had just blackfire wetdimond on it and other one had black diamond and zymol royale, have video of royale but have to upload it

Todays wash as above

Start 1:45 ... put car in garage .. 2:20 and this includes pulling out hose .. prepping wash soap and putting car in garage.

Just remember I don't have to spend 20 min removing bugs etc..

No vid available but can be verified by the Pastor that lives next door.

He thinks I'm nutz too.. but thats a different story.

I guess I'm just too fussy when it comes to washing my car, I don't think I could do mine that fast and be confident I did a good enough job??????

Jesstzn - Just realized you only use one bucket..really? And you don't have any issues with anything getting back on the car?

I'm assuming if washing your car as much as you (2-3 times a week?) then there is way less dirt accumulating...

Never had anything getting back on the car .. sheep skin mitt releases the dirt very well.

I used to use just one bucket without issue now I have 2 but never used one of the crazy grit guards I dont see how they really do much anyways the dirt doesn't have a chance to settle at the bottom and when it does it will get pulled back up when you stick your mitt in there unless there is like a one way valve of something never seen one in person

Any dirt course enough to do damage does settle to the bottom and the grit guard prevents the turbulance from the wash mitt from bringing it back up.

My grit guard is home made and was about $8. <--- I'm cheap.
