Silly Question Sort of

When washing I usually pour the shampoo in first. The problem is that it seems like the shampoo ends up flowing over the bucket and therefore some of it is wasted. I thought maybe filling bucket first but then I would have ot mix somehow.

Yeah I know this sounds crazy, but anyway that is my question. Looking for suggestions or how you guys avoid this. I use 2 to 3 cap fulls in a standard size bucket. The Shampoo is from the Chemical Guys Website.

fill bucket halfway, then use 1.5 caps of shampoo, and mix with hands.

I don't think you'll get the best sudsing of the soap if you don't use the hose/pressure washer to mix it. 5 gallon buckets are cheap and available at most auto part stores.

One thing I do when using a pressure washer is to use a 5 gal bucket, put the soap in first, then, using an old sponge in the bottom of the bucket, I stick the end of the pressure washer right into the sponge. This lets me run the thing full blast and thoroughly mix the soap with out blowing the soap out of the bucket.

What works for me is to

1. Put some water in the bucket
2. add soap
3. Keep filling the bucket with the hoze's nozzle under the waters surface the whole time to mix the soap up with no foam at all.
4. Pull the nozzle out of the water, and keep filling until the foam reaches the top of the bucket.

Thats it.

Putting the soap in first gives too much foam, and too little water for my tastes. I like a healthy mix of both.
