shoe scuffs on leather

ive been reading a lot on leather cleaning, but had a quick question. what's the best way to clean the shoe scuffs on leather?

behind the driver's seat, there's that little compartment to store things (maps, magazines, etc) and i noticed shoe marks on that piece. what's the best way to remove them? will a plain 'ole leather cleaner remove these marks? i have a beige interior so its noticable.
