Scratched Leather Dash

I just bought my TL and it looks like the previous owner rested a radar detector or something on the leather dash. It has light scratches that arent very deep, but are starting to bother me. Can anyone recommend a product to cover/cure the scratches? I have tried the Zaino z-9 followed by the z-10 but it didnt help much.

The dash is pleather (fake leather; vinyl). I am not sure what you would use to fix this issue, but just wanted you to be aware that you should be treating the dash not as leather, but vinyl.

Maybe a heat gun? It'll warm up the dash and mold back together.

hmmmmm.... dont think that I would go that far........ could have all kinds of adverse effects from discoloring it to outright melting it if it was not done right, like accidently touching the tip of the heat gun to the vinyl. Would probably take a lot of heat to get it to soften to the point that you could work it, and getting it that hot would bring in all kinds of potential problems into play.

Maybe just getting some 303 Protectant would help to disguise the marks somewhat but by no means is that going to fix them or anything. How about going to a bodyshop or interior shop and see if they have a miracle cure.

ask the dealer. There are shops that specialize in this type of repair. My girlfriend's new Accord's dash got damaged when a stereo was put in. She watched the repair guy mix up some thick liquid that matched the color of the dash. When applied and dried it matched perfectly, even the texture.
