Santa's Sleigh Needs Buffin'

And he brought me the best tool for the job. This is my brand new, just out of the box Makita 9227C. I made sure he got it from Detailed Image and before springtime they will be getting a decently sized order from me...I need some new stuff.

Here it is with the Lake Country 6" backing plate.

Check out this nifty little carrying bag that comes with it.

And it fits perfectly in the cabinet next to the dying Griot's Random Orbital.

This is better than a Porter Cable?

Or this is one for a more skilled detailer that can screw up a car if you make an error?

That Makita is nearly as sexy as that Challenger! Pics I say!
The Makita is a different animal then the PC. Much stronger and more capable of faster, deeper corrections. With that comes a learning curve as well...........

PC's are fine in most hands, about the only thing I havent been able to correct with a UDM (PC on roids) is Vette and Benz paints.....

Sarlacc...I just tried the Makita out and WOW! What a machine!! It corrects to a degree that the random orbital simply can't touch. That being said, it is a totally different animal from the DA, you have to respect its power and I do not recommend it for novice detailers.

Tuck some miles under your belt with a Porter Cable and when you feel you are ready to step up to the big leagues, this is a great rotary.

Portland, you must have been on the "Nice" list, not the "Naughty" list this year!

I got the same setup for Christmas, with the 6 inch plate.

Man, this this is powerful. I really can't wait to start learning with it. I'm going to pick out an old hood from the local junk yard soon.

I love the bag it came with too!

Sweet buffer!

I've been looking at the Makita's...might go that route when the UDM dies on me.

Congrats on the Makita pick up. Once you get the hang of it, you'll be able to correct more imperfections in less time. The ability to finish the paint will also be improved when it comes to jeweling the paint with say PO85RD on a nice finishing pad.

Thanks for the support, enjoy!
