Rusted Rotors and Chrome Wheels?

Juss purchased/installed my chrome rims, im still using stock rotors/brakes and etc. And as my rotors being stocks, they are RUSTED, Will regular rust washers (made for the cars of course) be safe on the chrome?

if your rotors are really rusted they probably need to be resurfaced or replaced. I would not recommend using anything to clean rust off your rotors.

after i wash the car and the wheels are all shiny, the rotors get brown (i assume its rust). . .

so when i take the car for a spin if its still wet i get that brown water all over my chrome. . .

now i just move the car very slowly up and down my driveway while hitting the brakes--- this keeps the shitty water on the inside of the wheel (still visible but not as bad). . . i just clean that up since its not much

now wheels are shiny

use a rim scrub brush with car wash and water and scrub the rusted part as well as possible. Don't put any slippery products on your rotors though.

Hmm... dont think ive ever had a problem with the rusted rotors. On the TSX, only the part that's hitting the pads will rust over time. But usually not overnight and not after a wash. The section that is not hit by the pads are painted black to prevent rust.
Wierd.

Just wash, and let your wheels dry. Use an old chamois or cotton cloth to dry your rims and if any water on the surface of the rotors. Wait a while, and after it is dried, you'll see that your rotors are rusted brown. Just drive and brake with light pressure, and the rust will be taken off by the brake pads.
