I had several NASTY scratches on my rear-bumper.

Some from dropping a TV on the bumper... some from getting rear-ended.


I had on particular nasty one on the edge of the bumper where it meets the trunk lid. hideous.



I took some rubbing compound I had... TurtleWax brand I think... :SCRUB: :SCRUB: :SCRUB: the white scratch turned black again... finished up with some 3m #39009... got rid of the dullness the compound left behind and shined it back up again.

Finished with some of that 3M Perfect-It wax... mmmm its like a new bumper again.


Will Dawn/Clay/Zaino this weekend hopefully.

3M 39009 is a very, very mild abrasive that will remove MINOR scratches and swirl marks. You can use it by hand, but rocks with a random orbital polisher.

Some auto parts stores carry it. Every auto body shop supply place (where the painters get their supplies) carries it.

Hey soop, I'd be willing to bet that it wasn't scratched but a lil added extra to your fender. I've had that happen before.
