Rough Paint

Hey
Everytime I wash my TSX I notice that the paint on the bottoms of the door panels is really rough. I did a complete wash, stripping the wax off then rewaxing but the paint is still rough. What could help this, because it is only the the mentionned area?

is it the texture of the paint? cause ours is like the rest of the car. you may want to clay the area as many contaminents will gather there on the lower parts. that may be your problem.

I agree with the claying. I've noticed that on many cars the paint on the rocker panels is rougher or thicker to protect against chips as well, in which case it's normal.

Having clayed the whole car before applying Zano, I don't remember noticing any texture difference between doors bottom and the rest of the car...even tough I did recently noticed a difference il all lower section of the car that I attribute to winter grime. I will only know for sure in the spring once I clay it again.

I agree that you need to clay the vehicle. You should also use a high quality paint cleaner (like Klasse AIO, or PS21 GPEC).
