LOOK! - 8 Coats of 1Z einszett Glanz

Recently 1Z einszett Glanz peaked an interest when I saw Tommy's WRX Wagon in World Rally Blue (our clear film installer) I was blown away by the depth, gloss, metallic pop! It turned out to be Glanz....7 coats! I was speechless!

I finally had a chance on Thursday to work on my car. The first wash in 2 months! (yup I just said that)

The car didn't need any claying just a good wash and Menzerna Super Finish with the Flex 3403 and an Uber Green Pad.

7 out of the 8 coats were done within a couple of hours with a PC 7424XP using an Uber Black Pad. After applying the Glanz on the whole car I removed it with an Uber Classic MF Towel. The 8th coat was done today (car was rinsed prior)

I threw in some random shots of the car as well.

Take a look:

Enjoy

Looks great ... I know the old formula of Glanz wasn't a very good layering sealant because of the solvent content but that looks great.

I assume unlike other sealants it doesn't need cure time?

like Jesstzn, my concern would be that you were removing the prior layers when you applied the next layer due to the solvents. I believe there is some wax in the Glanz wax though so maybe that helps with the layering?: I have a bottle laying around, maybe I should give it a try on my wifes black Lexus. Your car looks amazing!!

Obviously you didn't do them side by side.

Need sun shots to compare appropriately. Can't compare bright sunlight defused into the garage which usually lands you with a nice reflection. Only in the sun can you see the real depth of the gloss and that perfect sheen.

I crack up everytime I see one of these threads. Way too much is given to a sealants overall ability to improve appearance. Polishing is 90% of paints appearance.

If you see his first picture is in garage. Mine are not in garage rather than in shade.

Agree, all the gloss comes from right steps of polishing. Wax does give shine, but not the way polishing does.
