residue on tailight

I have some kind of thin residue the size of a dime. I do not know where that came from. The only way I could describe it is this...it is like a residue from a sticker or adhesive, like when u take away the sticker or adhesive, u have that opaque looking residue. It is on the red part of my 03 cl tailight. What can I use to remove this? would some isopropyl alcohol work (i think it would be ok for the light and do no damage).

What do you guys think? I don't want to go out and buy something just to get rid of a small size residue.

Thanks

Try a 50/50 Vinegar/Water base and see if that takes it off. If not, claybar the area..
