A car backed into my parked car which required some repainting/blending and some new parts. I noticed the hood has tons of fine scratches on the entire hood in the direction of side to side when under strong lights.

Should I bring it back to the body shop or just find a detailer to polish the scratches out ? The entire hood is affected.

 

I just worked on a brand new Corvette that had the same issue (all over it). There was damage to the lower rocker panel that got fixed, but the body shop then simply wiped all of the dust off of the car and did quite a bit of damage. There was also a tremendous amount of overspray all over the car as well.

I would definitely bring it to the attention of the body shop, but the chances of them being able to properly polish everything out is probably slim.
