Removing small scratches

Well, the car got wasehd and waxed before I picked it up (97 2.5 with 125k miles) but there are still a lot of small scratches left over that are visible, along with some larger/deeper ones.

I was wondering, will these be possible to remove easily? I read http://www.acura-tl.com/forums/showthread.php?t=80210 (Zaino Instructions 101, or Zaino for Dummies) and it seems like it should get rid of a lot of small scratches, but it seems like I have also read that Zaino doesn't last as long as other brands.

What would you guys reccomend? A whole kit of supplies would be awesome if possible, a wash/polish/clay bar/wax/towels, as I don't have anything, just some wax in the garage, and would like to do it the right way, and completely.

Zaino doesn't last long compared to which other brands ? I can get a good 6 months out of my Zaino applications as long as I upkeep the car with regular washing and some Quick detailing.

Zaino will NOT remove scratches, it will fill them at best. Meguiar's Scratch X is a good off the shelf product and can help out the scratches in the first two pics. It's tough to gauge since pictures don't tell the whole story. The third pic looks like there's actual paint on the car.
So, wash, clay, wash and then try some Scratch X. After that you should wax to protect the finish.

I think I'm making a fair assumption when I figure it will take a good portion of my weekend. I would have to strip the wax to get to the scratches to use the scratch-x and clay bar and then polish and wax?

You don't have to strip the wax to get to the scratches - just wash the car first. Scratch X by hand it might take two or three trys. Use a damp cotton cloth for that as it will add more bite. Address the scratches first (hello scratches :lol) then clay the car (some people wash after clay, I don't) - then polish then wax.

if you are able to feel the scratch with your.. fingernail it is too deep to remove...if not the best product i have found is the maguires 3 step process ....it works great i had some mild scratches and it does the trick well....
