Removing Car Wax From Clothes
Removing Car Wax From Clothes
Not sure whether this belongs in this section or DIY. Hopefully it may be of help to someone, or at least you will have the knowledge if any future problems arise.
I recently had the unfortunate experience of getting a lot of carnuaba wax on my jacket. I tried scrubbing it off, but it was no use. I also put it in the washer, and the wax still would not go away.
Finally I tried something new.
I laid my jacket down on the ironing board and placed a simple white sheet of 8.5x11 computer paper over the waxed spots. I then ironed over it with the iron replacing the sheet of paper periodically.
Success!!
The wax was completely gone, and there are no signs of it ever being there even after a few days! Hope this may help someone sometime!
