Removing bug guts/sap
Last time I washed my car I noticed what looked to be bug guts. On a small part of the hood and the front bumper there was this really sticky faint yellow stuff that I just could NOT get out. I tried washing over it several times and it didn't even budge. When you look at the car from 5 feet away you can't see it but up close at an angle it is noticable. Should I just use regular bug removal stuff for this or is there something trickier to it? It looks kind of like ... bug guts/sap.

Hydrate that dead bug splatter!
Cover the area(s) with water, water/soap saturated microfibers for about 10-15 minutes. This will rehydrate the splatter and allow for swift removal.

^^^ what he said ... I use an old fleece style blanket and soak it and tuck it in all over the front while I tend to other things. it will stay wet a long time even in direct sun.
The other thing is the guts can be acidic and may have etched into the paint and might be removed with a PC & polish.
