Remove Scratch + Wax
Remove Scratch + Wax
I need all of your help.
I bought a black TSX about 2 months. However, there are so many scratches on the car. the Scratch is eveywhere. Is anyway I can remove them or make it less noticable?
I read this post, seems like Zaino is a very good choice.
z-5 for remove the Scratch and the Z-2 for wax?
What is clay bar for? what brand is good?
or.. do you have any other suggestion?
Please Help. Thank you very much.

I have a CG (dark) TSX and I use Zaino. It is very durable and long lasting (6 months and longer). However, Zaino will NOT remove nor hide scratches, neither the Z5 or Z2. (Yes, the Z5 is supposed to help, but I don't think it does on my car).
You have two major alternatives: polish the scratches out with fine abrasives, or try to hide the scratches with some car finish agents which will somewhat fill in the scratches and make them less noticeable. Given your good but basic questions, it might be helpful to find a professional detailer and get the car "cleaned up" once if there are as many scratches as you describe.
Do you know how the scratches are getting there? Since you have black it will show every imperfection, and you'll need to learn how to maintain the finish over time. Many commercial car washes will scratch the clear coat. The "sticky" posts at the top of this Car Wash section have good advice, and there is lots more online at Autopia and many other places.
To answer your Clay question -- a clay bar is used to pick up things stuck to the surface of the paint, from many sources in an urban environment. I use Clay Magic, but there are several good brands. Check out the claying and other articles here: www.bettercarcare.com/articles.php?articleId=14
