Question about better polish....

I have been using Poorboys polishes, with 4* UPP. My question is this, would I be better off using some other polish line? I have been extremely please with the results that I have gotten from the poorboys products and need to get some more because I am about out and I will probably be ordering some more PB, unless there is something that would be better.

There are a number of products within this category and each has it's own characteristics. Selecting a polish really comes down to personal preference. If the product provides the result you desire, continue to use it. Optimum, FS BS and PB are what I have on hand. And I do like to try different ones from time to time.

Another vote for Optimum polish. No matter what speed you run the PC, the stuff just will not dust. The PB SSR's do. Though I have found that if you dont run the PC at 6 with SSR, they work just fine. In fact, if there's little marring, I find SSR1 or 2 works just fine.

And of course, you can't get much better then UPP. I'd stick with it.

Optimum yes, due to massive lubricating oils.
FS BS, to a degree yes.....They have about 1/2 the oils as Optimums. But on a sidenote, they cut quicker, and may not require the working time Optimum does.....

hey PAT. I still have some BS LCC - does 4* make something with a cut like OHC or OC?

I don't think glazes have enough cut for correcting surface defects and usually have fillers to hide defects. More info available here.

I actually stopped using this (Meg's #7) 'coz it was hard to remove and will not "dry". I've had better results with Meg's Pure Polish #2.

You might want a polish with some flexibility. Optimum Polish seem to have good reviews and it comes in a 32 oz bottle. I tried it and it's so far!

I would rate the MCC every bit equal to OC, maybe just a tad more on the abrasive and aggressiveness also, but not OHC.
