Question PPF (paint protect film) questions

Purchasing a 2022 MDX and am looking to have Xpel PPF put on bumper front and sides where the natural breaks are where bumper sides meet the front fenders and just the thin portion right in front of hood, headlights, fog lights and mirror backs done. In talking with some shops, they of course recommended a full front installation which would include everything mentioned plus entire hood and front fenders.

Questions:
1. On the 2022 MDX, would you do partial or full front? Price doubles from $900 to $1,800
2. Would you also have the big Acura badge in the grill covered in PPF?
3. My research indicates Xpel is a good brand with self healing properties as is top of the line 3M

I really enjoy detailing my vehicle, so my main intention is for protection against rock chips. Appreciate all feedback!

I wouldn't skipm on the hood and front fenders.. just think of the surface area that's susceptible to rocks . The bumper is a given from rocks on the ground but once they're airborne, your hood will take a beating.

I have xpel on a number of my cars it is good film. If going full is in your budget then go for it, with SUV not sure you would have that issue as your up higher. I will condition that since I am unfamiliar with the redesign for '22. As a reference I only have full on my M5 due to how low front sits, my Acuras have partials.

Confirm with installer how far up on hood and fenders they go with partial, should be about 1/3 which is ample coverage in my experience but YMMV. Also ask what else is in package, it normally also includes headlights, fog lights, door cups and sometimes mirrors, door edges and rear bumper applique.
