Poorboys world
Hey detail guru's! I recently had a friend give me a few bottles of Poorboys products for helping him move into his new house. ssr2.5, ssr1, ex-p and black hole glaze. Just curious what you guys think? I am accustomed to using Zaino, but am always open to new products. Any insight to these products? I have read good reviews on the net but wanted some opinions from here as well! Thanks!

There not boutique products, but a botch above OTC. Ive used just about all of them. I didnt find a lot of value with the wheel sealant vs. what I use for paint sealant. I just slop some UPP on my wheels when I have time, works like a champ.

I tried their SSR line and wasn't really too impressed. However, I do like the Wheel Sealant, Natural Look and Bold N Bright. I have the red and blue Natty's and I haven't used them yet, LoL.

kinda figured they were just your run of the mill stuff.
Anyway, I wanna step away from the Zaino, so Im going to try some new things. Paint is in pretty good shape as it is so what do you think of this combo
PC 7424 (already own)
Optimum Polish II with orange pad
Optimum Polish II with white pad
Poorboys black hole glaze with white pad (kinda wanna give it a shot, I read great things about it)
4*UPP with black or blue pad
Car is a 05 TL NBP
Any advice or suggestions are welcome, kinda new to the detailing world so I would love some input

Sounds solid, consider the Danase Wet Glaze in lieu of the PB's BHG. If not similar, identical. Both made by same manufacturer.
ACtually DWG has a acrylic protection to boot.....

Some of the Poorboy's best products IMO are the ones you mentioned (Bold 'n Bright, Natural Look, Wheel Sealant) Spray & Wipe, Super Slick & Suds, and the Natty's for bang for the buck waxes. Natty's can be a pain to remove if you let it sit too long, but it offers a nice deep wet look to it with a couple of layers.

I'm in the same boat, for polishes I stick to Menzerna. Optimum is a step up from the SSRs as well, although I talked to Steve recently and they reformulated their SSR 2 and SSR 1 formulas.
