Polymer Detailing Thread

I did a search, couldn't find it.

There was an elaborate thread on polymer, and detailing the paint and it was this 3 day process...

If anyone can bring up the thread, PLEASE PM me with it, or post it here.

Thanks in advance.

Yeah Homer2, they were two good threads. I guess sometimes you just have to let the uninformed tire themselved out.

that's a fresh paint job, it'd be pretty hard to make it look bad :P

and I don't see people saying you don't know shit

And NO one out there knows it all, and to admit that you are close is ignorance in itself.

Yea i know the paint is only about 6 mos old, but even my old factory white looked and felt great. Its just one of those things, it seems like every time i try to give advice on here, certain people **coughcough** nsxnext take joy in trying to make it seem like i dont know anything. Like his above post, where i'm apparently one of the 'uninformed'.

OH WOULD YOU PLEASE JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP ALREADY. You make my ears bleed.

My beef with you is not that you don't know what you're talking about, it's that you think everyone else does. Read your posts. You are not willing to admit that maybe some people have techniques/products that are quite effective in maintaining a car finish. No you immediately discount their opinions.

No, you just shut the fuck up. From day one, you always had some smart aleck comment to say, or some stupid "car wash boy" mention. So fuck you. Always trying to say something to make me look like an idiot. From the first time i ever tried to give any help or advice, you did that. So as far as i'm concerned, you can just kiss my ass. Just read your above post, again you called me one of the 'uninformed'. My paint and my detailing will trump yours any day of the week. Your best day cant compete with my worst. So again, FUCK YOU.

Yes she really is. And nsxnext, i know im' not your bro, thank God i'm not. I feel sorry for your kid, growing up with an asshole like you as his father. Since its apparently funny to you that my sister is a lesbian, how funny would it be if your son grew up gay?

That's not funny...it's funny that you post it on a public forum and don't expect comments.

Oh and I'd be totally ok if my boy was gay. You see I love my son more than anything in this world. I will be the most supportive father I can.

The funny part is I'm really a nice guy. Ask anyone on the forum that has met me. Hey Red-cl back me up on this one.

Its not that i dont expect comments, but i would expect a little more respect in that area. And if you're 'really a nice guy', why are you always such an asshole to me?

Why? Because it's fun - come on you don't enjoy the banter?

Bottom line Katana, we just need to agree to disagree on things.

As for the sister crack....some things need to remain There are lot's of things going on in my life that I would never post on a public forum.

If I met you in person, I doubt I would be as brutal about your situation. Be happy that she's happy. My Mom always said, I'd rather my children be gay and in love with someone than alone and miserable.

I probably gonna get some heat for this. hehehe, I go on a bunch of forums and in the really hardcore detailing forums and zanio is not looked upon as the only "wax" that can do anything. For some reason or other every board seems to have really aggressive Zanio suporters for it though. Many people seem to have done just as good or better with "lower cost" wax. Look for other products such as wolfgang and klasse. People will find some pretty interesting results.

no heat . ..

its true, Zaino didnt invent water in the desert.

Zealous supporters, yup - there are legions of them. That MUST speak to the quality of product - and across the whole line. No one has brought a line up out that has been so well reviewed and tested. Yes, there are items from other vendors, and yes some do as equal a job as Zaino - but no one has the whole line and that is a key strength.

I think all the rational detailers - even the guys at Autopia (you said hardcore) will admit - no matter what you personally use and believe in- there are other ways to achieve the same or better results - BUT, as long as you are thrilled with the results of you work - that is what is important.

What gets people riled up though - is Zaino bashing. Just as if someone bashed Klasse or Wolfgang or Zymol - and it was something you used and loved. You would defend it. A lot of the high end stuff has people confused - so they talk it down - never heard of it so it cant be any good - right? Thats when it gets ugly on any forum, for any product.

PLUS - I think another strength os the people who sell it locally - they are some of the nicest. most sincere and trustworthy people i know of . . . I'd let them into my house to mind the place any time. . . ..
