plus, you have to learn the lingo......

polishing = correcting paint.
correcting paint = removing swirls, scratches, etc.

wax = naturally found in the wild.
sealant = man made synthetic product.

a wax will not last as long as a sealant, because a chemist will make a sealant with better protecting properties than a wax.

so, the first thing you need to learn is HOW TO WASH YOUR CAR CORRECTLY, without adding more scratches and swirls!

if you are not using the two bucket method with grit guards, I guarantee you are marring your paint!

after you learn how to correctly wash your paint, then you can move on to correcting the paint!
which you'll need to buy the correct tool akin to your skill level.
the wrong tool or machine will FUCK UP YOUR PAINT!
novices start off with the PC7424XP because it will never burn through paint.

so, after you correct paint, then you seal it with a sealant or wax to keep it that way.
a wax will last for only a few months, then you'll need to re-apply.

a sealant will last a little longer, 4-6 months untill you need to re-apply.

then, EVERY WEEK, you'll need to wash your car with the two bucket method and grit guards, while NOT INTRODUCING ANY MORE marring or swirls...
