polished CLS wheels
polished CLS wheels
Anyone ever get their CLS 17" wheels fully pollished by a professional. Mine are scraped up and generally look like shit. (I got the car used). I saw some of the sample wheels they did and they almost look like chrome. very slick. They would take off all the paint and polish between the spokes as well. They buff them to a gloss on the entire wheel face and between the spokes (where the paint is). They don't clear coat because they said it wouldn't stick to the buffed finish. They would fix all the scrapes from the curbing. All four wheels, $150 for just the face and $250 for the entire wheel. Their samples looked really good, Some shitty looking Chevy s10 wheels, did half the wheel and they looked very nice. They take off the wheels and the tires remove the paint, grind, blend and buff to a gloss.
What do you think?

Do the math, 250 per wheel is a grand and you can easily pick up a mint used set of CL-S rims again. Or you can ante up for new wheels altogether which is probably why not many people do it.
Do these people have a website?

That sounds more reasonable...the only thing i don't like about polished metal is that the finish eventually dulls unless you take care of it and repolish it everyonce in a while, plus if you polish it incorrectly and leave any fine scratches, dirt builds up inside of them..
