Main reason I do not smoke in the car, that smell is so hard to get rid of. If I were you I would get yourself some scented leather conditioner and some type of foaming upholstery cleaner. Work the conditioner into your seats and shampoo the shit out of all your carpeting. It probably wouldn't hurt to take some kind of general cleaner to your inside plastic panels also. Pronounced air fresheners might help as well, Vanilla has a pretty overwhelming scent that might help drown out the smoke smell once you get the interior all scrubbed down.
Good luck.

The vehicle I had before my TL was a Jeep Compass Rallye and the previous owners did smoke in it and the smell was TERRIBLE! I tried EVERYTHING and couldnt get the smell out, so I called Carmax, which is where I got it, and told them (I had it for 3 days) I was going to bring it back and get something else if I couldnt get the smell out, because it was so bad. They ended up telling me to get a small Tupperware bowl and fill it half way with vinegar and lay a towel over the bowl and put it in my floor board over night. I ended up putting one in the very back and two in the front, one in the driver floorboard and one in the passenger. Next day the smell was gone, but now just smelled like vinegar, so I went and bought an air freshener and put it in my car and put the windows down overnight and it smelled good, finally.
I definitely recommend this.

Ive heard about the vinegar trick in the past. People say it works - Ive never had to use it.

Ok so im bumping this.....
I just tried the soaking towels in vinegar and putting them into Tupperware.
I left it in my car windows closed for about 48 hours or so. The smells seems to be gone. Before i always would smell some hint of cig and it almost seemed as if it was a "heavy scent" if that makes sense but now the air seems a lot cleaner. There is still some vinegar scents lingering but thats not to bad and should be gone in a few more days. Ill let you guys know if the scent is completly gone soon
