she would be nosey! I would have to lock it to keep her out..she would want to know what was behind the closed doors. It is something that later on I would want to do, I have been eyeing some items at IKEA to store the stuff in, might have to keep an eye on the scratch and dent section
I like mc's idea with the tupperware drawer cabinets, I think I'm gonna pick up a couple sets of those, along with some wall cabinets like Todd has

well as of the pictures i have added a few things. One gallon of APC, another spray bottle for the APC, more CCS pads, some LC pads, waffle weave window towels, and some CG microfibers that are soon on there way.

Thanks for resurrecting this post!! Your collection looks great!!! I need to take another set of updated pics here in a lil bit, I took advantage of the Memorial day sales and will have a few more items coming..I'll have to do it while the wife is away so that she doesn't see me pulling out all this different stuff. How do you like the Flex?? I don't not know if I do enough correction to justify getting one, my G110 is doing great for now.

I'm going to do a full detail on my CL-S tomorrow and will advise on how it goes.

I reorganized my garage and sorted out all my products by row, pads and towels not shown, some rows are 5 or 6 bottles deep

My order from Detailed Image comes in tomorrow...
I got the garage cleaned up so once that order comes in and I get everything put away properly, I'll take some photos and post them here.

Alrighty...FedEx dropped off my box and I jumped on it like a little kid on Christmas. A quick refresh of everything and I shot these photos.
Top Shelf; reserved for the bulk of everything. From left to right are gallon jugs of Car Wash, APC, Speed Shine, Wheel Cleaner, Undercarriage Dressing, and Interior Cleaner.
Second Shelf: Microfiber wash pads for paint, wheel mitts, MF Waffle Weave drying towels, blue MF towels for final dusting, and wax applicator pads.
This shelf is still a work in progress and it contains all the necessities.
My new LC pads...more will come soon.
Grand Central Station...all the secondary stuff I use but don't need high up.
The full shelf...the very bottom level is a staging ground at the moment. As soon as I get the Makita we'll be going through a full redesign of this set-up. The hamper is for my dirty microfiber towels and you can see the vacuum at left on the wall.
Just a little decor...the traffic light is real, it does work, and was purchased legally. The speed limit sign was found and um...adopted. :devilgrin
Gotta have a place to hang the keys.
And of course you gotta rock some music.

Thanks, guys.
When I first started washing the cars I used ONE shelf and it was all disorganized. Slowly I started to get into things and it began to spread like an invasive plant species. This time last year I had two shelves and now I use that entire section.
My dad has a tendency to just throw things wherever there is an open space so keeping his stuff at bay is a never-ending uphill battle. Once I get my own place I'm going to go all-out on the garage; high-intensity lights, laminate flooring, stainless steel cabinets, tool chests, and a work bench. I can't wait.

To illustrate just how much new stuff I've bought in just 13 months...this was my detailing "arsenal" as of June 4 of last year. I intentionally avoided showing the mess the garage was at this point but you get the idea. The shelf that now holds my gallon jugs held a mishmash of painting supplies. If you look closely, the shelf that holds my soap, clay, and buffer/pads today was a clutter of weed killers and what looks like starter fluid.
This photo is for all of those who are just starting out and find themselves a bit daunted by all the stuff that other detailers and myself have. We don't start with all that stuff falling into our laps. So this is where I was last summer; Hard to believe I ever "detailed" a car with just this.
Then:
Now:
I believe that in the last year alone I have spent at least $1,000 on my overhead, if not more. Give me time and I'll get a more accurate figure but it's still staggering.

Insomnia rules!!!
So I just crunched the numbers. The best I could come up with for EVERYTHING I've bought for my detailing business over the past year is...you ready for this?
$1,096.28
And that number is only going to get bigger.
