parking under a tree
parking under a tree
anybody ever park under a tree, and then the next day notice tiny specks on the windshild that almost look like little rain mist drops? I'm assuming this is bits of sap from the tree...
Am I right or wrong, and how bad is this stuff for the car finish?

Yes, its a PAIN, especially after waxing. I have a big ass tree right in front of my house. They dont come off very easily. I dont know if its bad for the paint or not but my car is constantly covered in them.
Depending on the type of sap, it could possibly result in some discoloration. Sap is a pain to get off, but I would use something like bug and tar remover to remove it, or if that doesn't work, a clay bar. Waxing or sealing the car can help removal of tree sap in the future as well as protect the finish from tree sap.
