Which OTC buffing pads and where to get?
I know I know, lots of posts from me lately. It's just that I find this forum so helpful. As some of you know from reading my other posts, that I'm in a time cruch to clean up my car before the clear bra goes on.
So I'm going to get the PC 7336 since I can get it today from Lowes, but I need some pads to go with that.
I'm basically looking to buff out some swirl marks and (2500/3000 grit) sanding marks from doing nick touch-up (following the procedures on this forums).
Since I don't have time to wait for online orders to get here, I'm looking for OTC pads. Which do you recommend for the uses I described above? I'll be using it with Meg's Scratch X (the new one version that can be used with DAs). Then with Zaino Z5/Z2.
Thanks!

I can sympathize with your dilemma. I usually order online for pads and I'm not sure if any of the auto parts stores stock them. You might inquire with a paint & body shop for any local vendors. Several online sites on the East Coast (Proper Auto Care, Auto Geek & Detail City) could get them to you in a couple of days via UPS/Fed Ex/USPS Priority. I forgot to mention Exceldetail (Patrick), he also has pad kits available as well as the UDM.
I haven't used Scratch X for awhile and wasn't aware they had a new formulation. When doing a full exterior detail or problem areas, I'll use either Optimum Polishes, Four Star Body Shop Line or Poorboys SSR line. I believe a 7 oz tube is about $8 or so and a 32 oz. container of Optimum Compound is $17. Much more economical. That's just me. Anyway, hope this helps . . .
