Orbital Polisher Question
In the market for a dual action polisher. I want to know if anyone has heard of the Shurhold Clean-n-Simple Dual Action Polisher. Also, if anyone has had any experience with it.

No experience with it .. but if your just getting into it why not a Griots Garage polisher and 5" backing plate .. lifetime warranty and less $$

+1 for Griot's DA.
Or if you really wanted to be cheap, a Harbor Freight DA + 5" backing plate and pads combo from Autogeek. (Harbor Frieght's backing plate tends to eat the pads per reviews).

Shurhold markets products for marine /rv use. Same type of polisher but Griot's is better - All are about the same price & will work, but to compare : Shurhold - 4.2 amps, 1 yr. warranty. PC - 4.5 amps, 3yr. warranty. Griot's - 7 amps, lifetime warranty & excellent customer service all 3 are equally safe & easy to use. My Griot's has worked well for 2 years with no issues

I have had the Porter Cable 7424XP that I got back in 2008 and its been working flawlessly...
I got the package on detailed image, with a 5" backing plate and couple pads...
Similar to this package but I remember I didnt get as many pads, but this seems like a good deal:

I started out with the PC 7424 ( which I use now as a sander) then got the PC 7424 XP ( which is now my backup ) and moved up to the Griots. Griots is a way more powerful.

I've used PC's RO buffer and straight drives. The Griots' extra torque will come in handy if you go the RO route (I recommend you do). The PC is fidgety because you constantly have monitor pad rotation. If the pad isn't orbiting, then your compound isn't doing any work to speak of.
