Orbital Polisher
Orbital Polisher
I have been waxing my car by hand. Should I get a orbital polisher to make my life a lot easier? Is it hard to use? Can I damage my paint? Will it save a lot of time? Will I notice a big difference using a orbital polisher. And what brand and model should I get?
Thank you
Thank you
I also have always waxed by hand. I finally decided to get a Porter-Cable orbital sander/buffer from Lowes and ordered the pad and pad holders from www.topoftheline.com. It would be very hard to damage your paint with an orbital buffer. If you have any swirl marks or light scratches the buffer helps a lot in getting those out. It also applies wax more uniformly on the car.
I really like the buffer and knowing what I know now, I would have bought it years ago. Get the Porter-Cable from Lowes for $93. I think it is etiher model 7336 or 7339.

I kinda already replied to someone else about this. Orbital buffers or polishers aren't really either. They are used to apply wax over the surface of the vehicle evenly and effortlessly. Professionals use them because they save lots of time and energy when you're trying to turn out cars.
