How many of you use ONR or Blackfire Rinseless to wash your Acura or Honda? If so does it add swirls? I was reading reviews on Autopia and one person was saying it can actually make more swirls and marks on the paint. I know the honda paint is soft but didnt think ONR or a Rinseless if used properly would hurt.

This is a $80,000 + show car and the black is flawless and all that is ever used is ONR ..
This truck is $100,000+ and all that has been used for the last 2 years is ONR.
ONR used with poor wash media , crap towels or on a car thats way too dirty can prolly swirl.
I use it on ine all the time when I'm on the road.

Have you tried the Griot's Garage Car Wash Spray? I like it better than ONR.

i use ONR on all of the "soft" honda paint at my house. no marring, no swirls, two bucket wash after a quick hose rinse if the car is really yucky. technique...it's all technique....and quality MF.

Both these rigs were buffed out ( as little as either needed to make them perfect ) since then all they have seen is ONR for washing. The car .. 1 year of washing .. the truck .. 2 years. Neither have any swirling at all from the ONR. I taught the owners how to di it right. One correction tho .. the truck was sealed with 4* UPP not #21.
They weren't washed with ONR then buffed out after ..

One more question to add.
My rear end is always very rough with soots coming out from the exhaust. I run a tune that's a little rich these days, so it's pretty bad.
Is it okay for me to use ONR on those very rough/dirty surfaces?

Do you have to scrub to get the roughness off?

Never done it myself. Didn't wash my car for about 10 months and got detailed by our fellow local member.
It just looks pretty rough to me. haha Glad to hear that it should be pretty soft.

I mean if ONR works well, I could probably do it much frequently though.

Oh, it works...and it's so painless, you'll do that ish once a week cause the work vs reward is that much better. You can have the outside of your car and wheels done and clean and dry in 15 minutes. That is not an exaggeration. Since you dry while you wash, it's DONE when you're DONE. It's really awesome.

when i was young, i lived at home, so it was super easy to wash my car. pull out the car out of the garage and do it.
nowadays, i live in a condo with my wife. to wash my car, i have to drive about 10 minutes to get to one of those POS coin self-wash station crap.
full time work + full time graduate school give me no spare time..

Lately I have been washing the whole car with ONR and Blow drying with my Metro Sidekick and then going back over with a QD and drying towel. I highly recommend the Metro or any blower/dryer for that matter to get water out of crevices that cant be picked up by a towel.

^ thats basically what my routine is. takes about 45 minutes to finish for me. I always finish with a quick detailer (poor boy's spray-and-wipe) wipe down even when using other soaps like meguiers Gold Class.

^^^the purists say that you'll kick up dirt/dust and put it back on the car before going back over it with a towel, but with the ground wet, I disagree and use it too!
Great tip!
The main thing I love with the ONR is that although you must work fast, you can do the ONR in the sun.

it's a car-drive it
Since I enjoy washing the cars I do not mind the time it takes to do it. While having the hose unrolled I also water the plants. Enjoy being outside. Now That pollen season is over I wash the cars less. Did wash it yesterday-my avator picture.
