new paintjob tips?

Hey guys, I just got my beater repainted 97 civic lowered on 19s . Anyway, how soon before I can wax, wash etc. And are there any tips to keep it as pristine as it is now?

Thanks!

i'd say wait a few days, let it bake in the sun a bit more, so the clear gets harder. You can wash it anytime, for sure. Wax, I think you can also, but don't quote me on the waxing part.

You can QD your car every few days to keep it shiny too

Hang on for the waxing, give it 30-45 days. Wash carefully, avoid "rubbing"......QD's are ok......
When all else fails, ask the guy who painted it! He knows best as he does it for a living.

You're fine so long as you don't wax or seal it until the 30/45/60 day mark. In order to get the best look for now, just maintain it by washing it and adding a glaze and you're set.

Ya know, I would still wait a while........The DWG has an acrylic sealant built into it, which in essence, seals the surface....You need the paint to breath (outgas) until its cured.

Thanks! I think this may be one of those situations where it's "better to be safe then sorry." I will most likely just stick with a safe wash
