New Canvas To Play With...

Yea so not so much me...But we did add a new ford to the Jobe Household...

My wife wanted a bigger vehicle then our 07 Jeep GC Limited...So we found her this GEM...Heres the details:

2008 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer EL
5.4 3V
6pd Auto
30K miles (100K mile warranty)
All Leather
Power 3rd Row
Touch Screen Navi/CD/SAT Radio
4x4
Tow Package
Rear Ent
Heated/Cooled Seats
Power Everything

The only option it doesn't have is the power lift gate and adjustable peddles...

We got it $28K out the door including tags, title, and warranty...

[/quote]

The rough part is that its so big it wont fit in my garage...So my acura gets the ENTIRE garage to itself...

Also going to have to do a paint correction on this beast and I am NOT looking forward to that...

So with that being said I am thinking a good glossworkz bath followed by a good CG clay with luber then Megs DA setup, followed with BFWD (I have an entire bottle and like blacklight/v7 better), Topped with Pinnacle Signature Series II Carnauba...Then hit the interior with some heat and the Leatherique treatment (hair dryer/garbage bag/sun)...303 the interior surfaces and engine bay...Then some steel wool #0000 on the exhaust tip with a coat of AGHD on the rims...Maybe the mothers back to black in a few areas like the mirrors just to clean them up...

Nice pickup! Looks great.

Does AGHD have any brake dust repelling qualities, or are you just looking for more shine on them?

And buying one of the biggest SUVs on the market in black Let's just say I'm glad you're a military man. It'll look great when you're done with it, though. And don't lie, you're secretly ecstatic the TL gets to hog the whole garage.

Have fun!

Well I dont know if it has any repelling abilities but I have used it on the TL-S rims with great results...I have spoke to AG about it and they recommended it as well so I will run with it...I want to try some Petes on them though but gotta order it...

Yea I am thinking that correcting this thing will be a full weekend and at least 2 case of beer ordeal...Hell maybe even grab a couple local detail buddies I know and have them come over and share in the pain...

And yes I park the TL in the middle of the garage now on the regular...Its goodtimes...

I will have to wait until they repaint the hatch as it had some good old fashion ford paint imperfections from the factory I had them fix...

We have an 06 Expedition Limited Edition and i have yet to do a full detail on it. With it being my wife's car and kids always in it and constantly getting dinged in parking lots i dont even bother with it. I just wash it then do a quick spray wax. My TL-S gets all the attention, lol. I know its wrong but damn the thing is huge!

Wow, the newer model must have a smaller tank then the 06. It takes us $100-$130 depending on gas prices.
