My Pads for my PC 7424 are just beat to death, I need new ones.

Looking at a few threads I've come to a conclusion that I'll order two new Yellow/Orange/Black/Blue Pads.

Does anyone have any other recommendations for pads for NBP paint?

Also what size is best to use for a 3g tl?

5.5 or 6"?

I've been getting hung up on what backing plate to order too, some say for DA some say for rotary? The PC is a DA correct?

Also when looking at the Hexlogic self centered pads (seems like a nice gimmick, but I like the thought of knowing my pads are easier to center) They seem to be 5.5 or 7.5" will the 6" backing plate fit these or do I need something different here?

It's been a long time since I've had to order pads and plates and the last company I did all of my purchasing with always sold the same stuff so I knew exactly what I needed to buy each time. Now that they are no longer selling kits and product I'm lost again.

 

Get a 5" backing plate for the PC ( DARO, Dual action random orbital) and use 5.5" pads. Skip the gimmikie self centering.

For pads All I would get is 1 yellow for spot correction , 2 or 3 orange for overall polishing abd as far as black or blue I don't use either.

 

we have 2 types of 5 inch backing plates.

the standard - Uber 5 inch Backing Plate
and the vented - Uber 5 inch Vented Backing Plate

For 5.5 inch foam buffing pads we have the Uber Foam Pads.

Yellow, Green, Blue, Black are the most popular.
