I used the Danase Sealant on the C300. I have to say I wasnt as impressed as I am with UPP. Could have just been because it was a plain white with no flake. I used FS SMR prior since it had a few Dealer Installed Swirls. It definitely had a wet look, just not as reflective as I like. I'll try to get some pics up tonight...

UPP Price increase!!
Thanks Joe, looking for everyones feedback....cuz if you guys dont approve, Im not carrying it......Course when UPP has set the bar, it may be hard to attain a favorable status.......On another note, UPP with PolyCharger, is going up nearly 50% in price!!
I think I have 2 bottles left of the original UPP w/PC at $21.49.

Some pics with the Danase Sealant. My process was:
Wash
Clay
ISO/H2O Wipe down
FS SMR/Propel Orange
Danase Sealant
Like I said in the previous post, wasn't over excited with how it turned out. But it could have been the paint being white of course and the fact that it had no flake. Maybe the Wet Glaze would have helped?? I'll stick with UPP.

The increase is due to the PolyCharger reformulation.........
BTW, Im not real happy about the increase, and I know you guys arent either, and I dont blame you. My fight will carry on, and maybe exceldetail.com can work something out with Four Star.....Im hoping to carry it at around $24.99.

I think I really need to try it on a dark color car and give it another chance (especially considering the fact that the price of UPP is going up significantly). I was looking at some of my older white car details and it seems I have the same reflectivity, though I cant remember what products were used on them I need to start keeping track of that...
I made up an Excel spread sheet where I now record date/customer name/car make/color/method,products used/side notes/ price charged. Now I can go back and review then next time I do the car. Also gives me a running total of what I made and how much my helper made.

Okay. Finally had time to detail the car on Tues. night (finished @ around 11 PM) and tried the sealant out.
Process:
- Wash
- Dry
- Clay
- IPA wipe down
- Polish with Optimum Poli-Seal w/white LC pad ( blasted micromarring )
- Danase Acrylic Sealant w/ foam pad by hand
notes:
- nice minty scent (reminds me of Wrigleys Doublemint gum?)
- easy on / easy off, but it went on a bit thick sometimes
- nice and slick. I wanna say it's maybe a tad slicker (?) than M-Seal (my main sealant)
- pretty good wet look
- not sure about the instant cure time thing because it certainly felt a lot slicker the next morning vs. the moment after buffing
- would I buy? Based on slickness and wetness/looks alone, yeah. But if durability isn't there, then no.
- durability? We'll see how that goes.
And the pics.....

The IPA will remove any oils, therefore showing one, what fillers a glaze/polish/wax/sealant is hiding, and/or sterilize/purify the surface for better sealant adhesion.....

2 different animals ... IPA Is Isopropal Alcohol. Nail polish remover can be Acetone and Acetone isn't paint friendly.

I understand that I should half it with water. My question is how much iso alcohol should be put and how much water? "half" doesnt tell me much....half of what?

IPA is IPA .. the 70% contains 30% purified water and is AKA Rubbing Alcohol.
When you have a 50/50 mix of any 2 products no matter the quantity they are mixed equally. In other words 2 oz & 2 oz or 4 oz a & 4oz or a cup and a cup.
