Question Need suggestions on what product to use

So last weekend I was able to use the 3M SMR on the car and put on a layer of meguair (sp?) wax on it. Now I want to put a layer of sealent on the car so I'm consdering buying a bottle of 4star UPP. Does it act both as a wax and a sealent? Will I need to put a layer of wax after it? Also if I were to apply the UPP, do I need to remove the wax I currently have on the car? I also heard of P21S Wax, can anyone comment on it? Thanks.

Polymers do not sit well atop of Nubas. Yes, you would need to remove the Megs you have applied. Start with a sterile surface, apply UPP, then a sacrificial layer of Nuba if you desire.
UPP is considered a sealant (synthetic wax). The Megs or P21s your referring to. are Waxes (nubas).

Thanks for the quick reply. I have a few more questions. Is it ok to put couple layers of the UPP or is one layer sufficient? Can I strip down the wax using the blue dawn or is there another alternative?

Off topic: Will I be able to pick up 3 riptide blue waffles for $14 or will it still be $5.25 each?
Also I have this idea. Since I use my QD a lot, is it ok to rinse the empty bottle and put in NRWS to spray the crack and stuff before I wash my car? Partially because I find that the back bumper always collects a lot of dust and I have to drizzle water to help get rid of some dust.

As with most synthetics, UPP can be layered. Allow a cure time of 12/24 hours before applying the next layer. The use of Dawn has always been a controversial topic in detailing forums. FWIW, I personally don't use it. I feel the combination of claying and polishing will remove previous layers of protection.

I want to remove my current layer of wax before I apply UPP hopefully next weekend. What would you recommand for removing the wax? I just polished my car last week so I really don't want to do it again unless I have to. If I just clay my car, will it work ok?

Watch what Meguiars you use over the sealant .. some have cleaners in them and your going to remove some of the sealant.

You dont necessarily have to polish again. You could use a paint cleaner which would be a lot easier to use.
