need some help with detailing
well seeing as the tl is my first car i have 0 experience with detailing products, im still reading through this section but. i want to get a nice wet shine, when my dad owned the car he used dawn dish soap
needless to say my car doesnt shine very much since i prolly dont have any wax left at all. ive just been using black magic car wash. i would like to know where i should begin to restore that new car shine without being to dificult.

This would be a good place to start:

The basic process for an exterior detail consists of:
1. Wash - removes loose dirt, road debris and surface contaminants
2. Clay - removes bonded contaminants like brake dust, rail dust and industrial fallout (IFO)
3. Polish - removes surface defects i.e. swirls, light scratches, oxidation and will also add gloss and reflectivity to the paint
4. Seal - using a wax (natural or synthetic) to act as a barrier to protect your paint and all the work you previously did
