Need help with paint on roof.
I recently bought a 2006 Acura TL ASM color. The previous owner is the first and only owner and put the roof visor on the vehicle. I took it off to find out that there are scratches along the WHOLE roof where the sunroof visor was against the paint. I took my PC 7424xp and some meguiars ultimate compound and orange pad to try to get all the scratches off. It did a great job. I had to do 2 passes. I might go and do a couple more later. But I notice now that it doesn't look like scratches. It looks like an indentation or a "tan line" where the sunroof visor was. Any idea on how to fix this? or am I just going to have to deal with it?
I"ll try to post pics tomorrow

I am guessing the visor prevented the covered areas from fading at the same rate as the exposed paint. Not sure you are going to be able to remedy this if in fact it is fade. Have you tried a chemical paint cleaner like Klasse AIO or similar?

about the only fix for it, is to let it bake out in the sun, and fade to the same color over time as the rest of the paint (or a PROFESSIONAL DETAILER might be able to fade it in, so it is not as noticeable)
