need help drying my sideskirts...

I can't keep them water streak free. No matter how much I dry them, while I am finishing up the rest of the car, water keeps dripping from the door edges and leaves streaks and spots. I even vigorously blast cans of compressed air in all the openings and crevices but the water just wont stop dripping. I even resorted to place microfiber towels over the sideskirts that hang from inside the car and closing the door on them to keep them in place, so the towels are between the door and the sideskirt, but that doesn't work because once i remove them, the water drips again...

this prompts me to pose a question for all of you...

WTF?

thanks for any help.

Ever try using a leaf blower? Also, a quick test drive to run all the water out of the crevices followed by a full QD wipe down?

all you have to do is open the door and dry the edges on the inside of the door because water will remain trapped if the door is closed. but open the door and you'll see that theres still a lot of water trapped inside. you'll probably also have water trapped in the side mirrors so you may have to move them around a bit to get as much water out as possible. theres also a lot of water trapped in the door handles. just pull em a few times and all the water should come out.

i use an air compressor most of the time, but if you just leave your doors open while you are drying the car and doing the door jams, i dont think you will have that problem....

An air compressor is the hot tip.......Works great on ties and wheels as well as mirrors, front grill, fog lights and all the trim pieces. MAke sure you use a rubber tip nozzle to avoid contact damage.

I am very familiar with this problem since I also have the A-Spec side skirts. A leaf blower will NOT help in this instance because the water you are seeing is coming from the lower door drainage cutouts. This is almost as bad as the water drainage from the side mirrors. You just have to wait till the doors completely drain out. This is one of the biggest reasons I hate to wash the car.
