My Weekend Detailing Project (Pics)

My neighbor usually does not spend time washing her car; in fact I don't think I have ever seen her do it at all. She is massage therapist.... we worked out a trade.

She drives a Mercedes C320 Wagon. And here's what I did to give it a shine.

Wash (Meguiars)
Clay bar while washing again (mothers clay bar)
Sonus Paintwork cleanser
Klasse AIO
Klasse SG (1 layer)
P21S Carnauba

Stoner's Invisible Glass
Meguiars Tire Dressing

I had all day to do it. I tried to wait between Klasse and the carnauba; hoping to get some curing time.

I think its time for an orbital buffer (whew!)

HERE ARE THE PICTURES

What motor cycle is that? hehe great work!! A PorterCable will cut your time down a ton, however you end up spending more time fixing every problem because you have the time to do it and you're not half as tired as you are after doing it by hand.

I can spend 12 hours on a car if I needed to. It looks like that Mercades needed a few hours at least, espically considering you have so products going on the car, clay, cleaner, etc......What I'm getting at is enjoy your 6 hour massage, lol

Haha! Thank you RF for all the product recomendations and tips. I have read and learned from your threads along the way. Also thanks to Exceldetail, CLPower and Groebuck for their tips and advice in this forum as well.

On orbital polisher options, if you look at the Porter Cable, also check out the Cyclo which is the choice of professional detailers. If you are looking for reliability and quality build, that is the choice. We've had ours for 10 years in the shop without any repairs needed and is used daily.
