My Meg's Scratch-X experience

Well, it's official, I love this stuff.

I was washing my car this afternoon when I noticed several blemishes (not sure what other word to use there) on the front side of my right rear fender. I am not 100% sure where it came from or when it happened, my guess it was while I was at work. I religiously park in a "protected" spot that has a grass island next to it. I think that one of our lawn care guys was weed eating that area and hit my freakin' car!!

Well I go about finishing the wash job and hit it with the Scratch-X and they were gone. I followed that up with some of my good ol' Meg's Cleaner Wax.
Would these marks have come out with just the Cleaner Wax? Probably......but I know for a fact that the Scratch-X worked perfectly

I'll try a non-abrasive cleaner first and if that doesn't do it then I'll hit it with a mild polish or paint cleanser. Then follow up with a protective coat.

I have scratch-x in my arsenal as well but it serves a very specfic purpose. It won't get out swirls and it won't fix scratches that go through the clearcoat. What it will do is fill in some of the microscratches nicely - esp on dark colored cars.

ScratchX is pretty mild, so it is probably the first one to go to for blemishes if it really did come from something hitting your car.

Glad to read your experience with scratchX was a good one. I purchased the product along with Meguiars Gold Class Liquid Wax and Black Magic Tire Wet. This will be the first time I wax the car and am hoping it will be a great outcome, pics will follow! As for the Black Magic Tire Wet Express, this has gotta be the best tool for tire shine that I have seen. THe Applicator has the gel in the handle, and it is shaped to the sidewalls of a tire 16+, so it prevents overspray like when using a foam.
