Mr. Clean Car Washing Device Good?

Anyone has the Mr. Clean car washing spray/device. Is it any good? If yes, what are the good & bad. Really interested in buying one. Supposely it wouldn't leave as much waterspot after washing.

i have it......... kinda wasted my 20 bucks:

Good: less time to wash, seems like wit works, neat 'gun'

bad: i Have SOME water spots tho it helps, not every hose fits mine, replacement filters/soaps are $$, device leaks for me.......

try it out..... its decent

Mr. Clean works great. Its well worth the money. I still have to dry off horizontal surfaces, but I bought a 97cent squeege and it takes like 5 seconds. GO WITH THE MR. CLEAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ps. you get the pic of the sexy bald guy on everything.

It works for the most part... As said above, I still squegee and dry the car anyways... My GOOD car at least... On the wifes car, if the filter is clean in the gun, it leaves her black car mostly spot free... A few here or there, but for the most part it is OK...

I'd pay $15-$20 for it... I DID! LOL...

I just picked one up this weekend and used it yesterday. Definately worth the $18, its worth it just for the sweet sprayer that doesnt leak everywhere.

Makes soaping your car a breeze and it left zero water spots, I highly recommend it.

I also hear good things about it. Worried about water spots? Just rinse it with distilled water.

I would worry about the additive that prevents water spots ... this thing is coating your car with something, I'm sure it isn't totally clear, I'd be interested if, after a while, you begin to see a film ???

It doesnt coat your car with anything that prevents spots, it filters the water so the water doesnt cause spots. Its a de-ionizer in a sprayer. If anything, its cleaner water then you would have gotten straight out of the hose.

It's actually called a "water blade" and it is meant for cars. It works like a squeegee in that it takes off the excess water but it is perfectly safe since it is meant for cars.

I like the product a lot.

From my experiences...

Cons:
-(as with all car washes) Use it when it's not so sunny out...b/c water spots start to form before u even get done rinsing the other half of the car. *More so with black painted cars like mine where they're much more visible than a lighter colored paint* Which means you have to rewet the other side and run your sponge/mit over it again. I've since learned to wash early morning or late evening

-Numerous trips to Auto Zone or whatever your auto accessory store of choice is...for refills on the soap and the filter (especially if you wash your car every weekend like me...i'm a neat freak) So more 'bling' being spent in the long run...

-I bought the 1st gen kit...ha...so it doesn't have a case for it like the "upgraded version" does now. Which means the gun tends to leak "left over" water and soap onto whatever surface you store it on. I wrap my spray gun up in a towel
after usage

Pros:
-If you LOVE your TSX and want to spend less overall time washing/drying the car...and more time showing it off...then you could really care less about any of the aforementioned Cons above

Just my

don't waste your money on that product! Spend 9.00 for a california dry blade. It is made of surgical rubber and you can dry your car completely in about 2-3mins. I doesn't leave any streaks or waterspots. Trust me and get one. Everyone should have one, just like a california duster. If you live in an area where you get a lot of pollen or dust then a california duster will save you time and money washing your cash when it doesn't need to be washed.

Dont wast your money on that product either. Unless you car has has no curves or ridges or bumps to it, its worthless. You cant get every drop of water with this thing. At most, you can get the big pools of water off, but thats it. The rest you need to get with a towel.

So I used it for about 3 washes, now I just drive my car around the block, come back and wipe it down with Z6 and a MF towel.

I can get just about every single drop of water off my 99 tl-p with the california dry blade. Even with the curves the blade flexs well and gets the car dry very easily. Much quicker than a towel which I feel doesn't get your car as dry unless you sit there for 15mins and dry it. This takes 3mins tops and car is almost 100% dry. If there are any spots where water still exists then use a towel. You will save a lot of time by getting the dry blade.

Haha....I thought it was fairly amusing.
Imagine some guy drying his car off...and then getting so frustrated he throws his squeege or california blade into the woods...
The woods of all places...!!

My dad used to use a simple car wash squeege to dry off the car.

.... and THAT is why I've been asking so much about how to get out paint swirls and scratches in the Wash/Wax section.

Definitely going going to buy the california blade. Where can you pick it up, pep boys?

yes it really works!

but works best when your car is only a little dusty. if it's really dirty, you're better off washing the traditional way.
